Hardly a day goes by, that I don't think of my sweet little Fig! For such a short amount of time spent with me, she took such a huge chunk of my heart with her! I miss you Fig!!!

I’m absolutely heartbroken!! My poor little Fig passed away sometime last night 😩😩😩 There was no sign that anything was wrong - I was even getting ready to post that we’d made progress - she let me scratch her under her chin last night before bedtime, for the first time since she was spayed. The only thing I can think of, is there must have been complications after her spay 3 weeks ago, and it’s killing me to think her passing could have been prevented, if only I’d been able to handle her to check if she was okay.
I also have suffered a broken heart! My girl Gracie linn had a rare heart defect and was on medication. The one thing they didn’t make me aware off was that it was enlarging her heart. Her heart just got to big and started blood clots everywhere. After several attempts to walk, she continued to become paralyzed. Soon she started the severe seizures, screaming like I’ve never heard from an animal but she wouldn’t pass away. Finally I was so tormented that I had my husband take care of her( her neck had to be snapped). There is something to be said for an animal that passes away in the calmness of the night. I would have wished it for my Gracie. I understand when we guestion ourselves…what if. We will never forget our animals that have touched us so deeply. I try to think of the funny and good days with my cat. I’m sure you do as well. Godspeed to you…..
